Academic Overview

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School is a college preparatory school of the Archdiocese of Washington. Our rigorous curriculum prepares students for college and career success. To date, 100% of our graduates have been accepted to college.

GPA

The GPA noted on the transcript is a weighted average; Honors courses will have an additional point added to the quality points available for each grade in the course; only earned grades of A, B, and C merit additional quality points.

Honor Roll

There are three opportunities for students to be recognized each quarter for their academic achievement.

Principal's List

Students who earn no grade lower than an A- and a GPA of 4.0 or above

First Honors

Students who earn no grade lower than B- and a GPA of 3.5 or above

Second Honors

Student who earn no grade lower than C and a GPA of 3.0 or above

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School uses PlusPortals, which is an online tool to help students and parents keep track of students’ academic work and progress. PlusPortals accounts are distributed at the beginning of the school year; students and parents should check PlusPortals on a weekly basis for any updates.
